These funds create a partnership between the Monument SWCD and Malheur  National Forest directed at treating state listed noxious weeds. The funds are  primarily focused on NFS lands but are also used on private land near or adjacent  to NFS land that has roads or streams that may carry weeds into or out of the Forest. Funding allows the SWCD to treated hundreds of acres of forested land to  help the NFS and local private landowners manage noxious weeds within the  district.
